What I like most about VEED is how quickly I can turn a basic video into something presentable without having to learn a complicated editing workflow first. I mainly use it for trimming clips, adding subtitles, making simple adjustments, and putting together short videos.
Where it'll bite you
Billing is the headline risk. Auto-renewal complaints, refused refunds, and a consumer-protection law firm investigating VEED's cancellation practices show up across Trustpilot and Capterra. Read the renewal terms before you commit, and check the card statement after you cancel.
Performance is the second trap. Reviewers report buffering, lag, and crashes on long videos (30+ minutes) or large files (2GB+), plus lost work when a browser session times out. Proof it on your real footage and length before you hang a deadline on it.
Tier walls and credits are the third. AI features are gated to higher plans, credits run out faster than the headline suggests, and lower plans lock away translation, 4K, and the better avatars. Capterra sits at 3.2 across 62 reviews, heavy on exactly these complaints.
I don't like how you can only create 2 ai talking avatar videos a month on the £19 a month plan. And I didn't like how you only get 500 credits for £19 plus one video can easily take up half of those.

Free is $0 with watermarked 720p exports and limited AI. Paid runs Creator at about $12/mo annual ($147/yr, 6,000 AI credits), Pro at about $24/mo ($288/yr, 30,000 credits), and Studio at about $39/mo ($465/yr, 180,000 credits), with Enterprise custom. All per seat, so a team multiplies fast.
The real variable is the AI-credit pool, which moves with how much generation, dubbing, and avatar work you do. The old Free/Basic/Pro/Business lineup is retired, so older reviews quoting a "Basic" or "Business" tier describe a plan that no longer exists.
For simple projects it works well, but longer videos with several clips can sometimes take extra time to load or render. The automatic captions are helpful, although I still check and correct a few words before exporting. I also wish a few more advanced editing tools were available in the lower-priced plans.
Refund refused despite evidence the renewal notice was never opened.
