Sales & outbound · head to head

Apollo.io vs lemlist

B2B sales prospecting and engagement  vs  Multichannel outbound sales platform. Specs, capabilities, and what real users said in the last year, lined up.

The verdict

Apollo is a data-plus-sequencing platform; lemlist is a sequencing-plus-deliverability tool that bolted on data later. If one bill covering contacts and outreach matters more than reply-rate craft, Apollo wins; if deliverability and LinkedIn steps carry your replies, lemlist does.

Both send sequences. The split is where each is strongest: Apollo owns the database and the dialer, lemlist owns warmup and native LinkedIn.

What users actually say

Apollo.io, in users’ words

I would recommend not using Clay for initial enrichment because it is usually more expensive. What people suggested here - Apollo, Lusha, FullEnrich, and there are dozens of other good ones - do the job. Keep in mind that phone enrichment is significantly more expensive than emails.

I work mainly with Apify. There are also other providers that let you pull tons of data you simply cannot get from Apollo and the like.

lemlist, in users’ words

Take lemlist - it does email, it does LinkedIn, it holds a small database, and it can even send WhatsApp.

Lemlist is solid for email warming, no doubt… But for running actual client campaigns, we needed a true multi-channel tool. We switched to la growth machine cause managing linkedin + email in one sequence is just way more effective.

Which one, for you

Pick Apollo.io when

you want a built-in 275M-contact database and a dialer under one seat, and you'll accept single-source data accuracy.

Pick lemlist when

deliverability tooling (native warmup) and multichannel LinkedIn steps drive your reply rates, and you already have a data source.
